WIHAN Observes Various National HIV/AIDS Awareness DaysOn February 27th WIHAN partnered with the HIV/AIDS Resource Center (HARC) and Brown Chapel AME of Ypsilanti to host an
awareness event to observe National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness day. The event promoted HIV/AIDS education, ways for the local
community to get involved, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. HARC provided HIV testing for those who were interested.
For National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness day (March 10th), several members of WIHAN "Rocked the Red pump"
on their facebook pages to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS affecting/infecting women and girls across the United States.
For more information about the Red Pump campaign please visit www.redpumpproject.org If you are interested in

The Washtenaw Interfaith HIV AIDS Network (WIHAN) is a coalition of religious organizations across the county to stop
the spread of HIV, increase education about HIV and help those living with HIV locally. People and congregations of
all religions are welcome.
An estimated 5,000 in Michigan are HIV-positive and do not know it! This is why testing is so important.
Some churches in Washtenaw County allow health officials to conduct free HIV testing in their churches. Will you make
your house of worship one of them? Contact WIHAN today!
